Racial Equity Ambassadors Fellowship Program

Danielle is a native of Atlanta, boasting 29 years of work experience in the accounting field. She is incredibly passionate about non-profits and helping people. Danielle previously worked at The Center for Working Families, a non-profit organization that trained and helped low-income adults find higher-paying jobs to position themselves for self-sustainability.

Yvette has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit space and serves as the CEO for Southeast Raleigh Promise. Yvette leads a highly-effective and dedicated team of professionals, overseeing the fiscal and operational management of the organization. Yvette shapes and leads strategies to attract investments, build relationships with residents and the community and cultivate cross-sector partnerships.

Candice joined Focused Community Strategies while completing studies in Human Services and Spanish at Kennesaw State University. She previously worked in the public school system, where her passion for engaging and understanding people and places began. As a member of FCS’s training team, she utilizes her gifts for engaging with people and building excitement about the future.

Major is a vibrant, values-driven marketer who believes in helping good brands thrive through communications. She has more than a decade of experience working within industries, such as food and hospitality, nonprofit, arts and lifestyle and health. She has a personal commitment to working in such a way that upholds the dignity of the people and communities the organization helps strengthens.

Charles is a native of North Carolina who has had a passion for helping others since he was young. He has more than a decade of experience and is a strong advocate for racial equality, social justice, and inclusion. In his role with Southeast Raleigh Promise, he focuses on seeking out new alliances with the goal of improving the quality of life for Southeast Raleigh residents.

Jennifer serves as the Director of Outreach and Engagement and is an experienced workforce and community engagement professional. She is passionate about people who want to improve themselves through personal and professional transformation.

Sakina earned a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Her background has given her the opportunity to collaborate with those facing housing insecurities to combat the barriers faced when attempting to obtain housing.

As the Executive Director at Renaissance Heights Foundation, Kenny serves as a bridge, connecting businesses, community leaders with resources and partner organizations. He believes in the importance of a shared vision of holistic, at-scale investments in defined neighborhoods to achieve excellent and equitable outcomes for the people who live and work there.

Jamee earned a Doctor in Philosophy with a focus in Executive Leadership, as well as a Master of Arts with a focus in Ministry and Nonprofit Organizational Leadership. Additionally, he has completed relevant fellowships, including John Maxwell Leadership and Prosperity Now Racial Wealth Divide.

Catherine serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the East Lake Foundation and is responsible for operations, finance, fundraising and ongoing work with partners to ensure progress towards the Foundation’s mission. She also oversees marketing, communications, and media relations for the East Lake Initiative.
