Our Role as Incubators, Conveners, and Catalysts

Purpose Built provides pro-bono guidance, coaching, and support to Community Quarterback Organizations implementing the Purpose Built model.

Community Quarterback Organizations Receive:

• Assistance in all stages of neighborhood plans, focusing on mixed-income housing, education, wellness, and economic vitality.
• Connections to resources and gatherings with peers across the country.
• Coaching to attract diverse investments, build trust within the community, and measure impact.

Purpose Built supports Community Quarterback Organizations with funding, talent, and nonprofit management.

Community Quarterback Organizations Receive:

• Access to grant dollars and other resources to support ongoing sustainability.
• Coaching and training to build organizational capacity.
• Guidance in areas like recruiting, technology, and partnership building to strengthen impact.

Purpose Built provides access to national partners and works with Community Quarterback Organizations to advocate for local, state, and federal policies.

Community Quarterback Organizations Receive:

• Access to national partners affiliated with Purpose Built who support model execution.
• Coaching, capacity building, and training on local, state, and federal policies and advocacy strategy.
• Exposure to policymakers and field partners across the country.

Purpose Built convenes Community Quarterback Organizations in a supportive community and helps them learn together.

Community Quarterback Organizations Receive:

• Regular engagement with peers implementing the Purpose Built model across the country.
• Experiential learning about the Purpose Built model, including visits to Purpose Built neighborhoods.
• Case studies on best practices and lessons learned throughout the Purpose Built network.

Purpose Built leads a network-wide effort to measure key outcomes for use in making decisions.

Community Quarterback Organizations Receive:

• Support for setting up and managing integrated data systems involving community partners.
• Coaching and training on data and measurement strategy.
• Involvement in network-wide data and measurement strategy.

Purpose Built elevates successes across the network and supports Community Quarterback Organizations in their narrative and branding strategies.

Community Quarterback Organizations Receive:

• Coaching and training on creating and compelling organizational and neighborhood narrative.
• Materials and toolkits to support a communications strategy.
• Opportunity to showcase local neighborhood outcomes to a broader audience.
