The Wendell Phillips neighborhood of Kansas City, MO, is considered by many to be the cradle of the African American community in that city. The Urban Neighborhood Initiative (UNI) is hard at work with its partners in Wendell Phillips to bring a cradle-to-college education pipeline, high-quality mixed-income housing, and community wellness to the neighborhood.
