The goal of his program is to prepare leaders to have a systemic impact on the American education sector. Prior to this role, Ben served as a principal in Denver, CO, where he led a high school to improve two tiers on the state’s school accountability system. In addition to supporting high-quality schools, he is energized by the potential to improve conditions in neighborhoods so that all children can reach their full potential.
Social capital—especially bridging capital—binds these efforts together and truly moves the needle on collapsing economic and racial disparities. Just as importantly, social capital is the key to rebuilding our civic society and strengthening our democracy.
